SUMMARY
This position coordinates the day-to-day operations of the Infant and Early Learning Centers. It provides coordinating services such as staff scheduling, supervision and training; parent communications; facility maintenance and security.  This position insures the health, safety and emotional well-being of children and staff.
 
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Arizona Teaching Certificate with Early Childhood Endorsement
OR
A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in the areas of early childhood, child development or a closely related field AND 6 Months Child Care experience
Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.

Required to work shifts, evenings, weekends, training holidays, and/or in various situations at other locations. 
 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors Degree or higher in Early Childhood, Child Development or closely related field
One (1) year previous experience as a Director or Assistant Director in childcare serving infants through preschool 
Principal or Administrative certification
 
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card 
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization. 
Documentation of a negative tuberculosis screening test, administered within 12 months before the start date; or if a candidate has had a positive test, a written statement signed and dated by a health care provider within six months before the start date stating candidate is free from infectious active tuberculosis. A negative tuberculosis screening test required is every 12 months of employment. 
CPR and First Aid Certification. Certification must be maintained current during course of employment. 
Blood Borne Pathogens Training 
Valid Driver's license (Arizona Driver’s License required within 30 days of hire)
MVReport – showing no more than the allowable points against Driver’s License as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees.
Reliable mode of personal transportation with evidence of insurance compliance greater than or equal to the state required minimum for car insurance as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees

Classification: Exempt Coordinator

FTE: 1.0 – 8 hours per day 
Work Calendar: 12 month  

 

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
