SUMMARY
Provides for the instruction, care, and development of children ranging from 6 weeks old to pre-kindergarten and for facilitating communication between staff members assigned to his/her team.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Must be at least 18 years of age
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend
written/graphic and oral instructions.
Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
Depending on department needs and program staffing, must be willing to be temporarily reassigned to another school as necessary.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
Bloodborne Pathogen training offered by TUSD Risk Management Department.
Documentation of a negative tuberculosis screening test, administered within 12 months before the start date; or if a candidate has had a positive test, a written statement signed and dated by a health care provider within six months before the start date stating candidate is free from infectious active tuberculosis. A negative tuberculosis screening test is required every 12 months of employment.
CPR and First Aid Certification (required within 90 days of hire at employee's expense). Certification must be maintained current during course of employment.
Complete and maintain 18 hours of required state trainings per year.
Must be able to obtain a Food Handler’s Certificate.
Complete 12 hours of the Department of Economic Services (DES) health and safety classes.

FTE: 1.0 – 8 hours per day
Work Calendar: 12 month
Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
