SUMMARY: 

We are seeking a motivated and organized HR Assistant/Receptionist to join the Tucson Unified School District's Human Resources team. The ideal candidate will provide front office reception services, greet and assist visitors, and support the HR department with various administrative tasks. Key responsibilities include answering phones, managing correspondence, assistance with scheduling appointments, maintaining employee records, assisting with the hiring process, and ensuring efficient communication between staff and departments. Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in office software are essential.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Four years experience in administrative, customer service, or secretarial roles in a business office. 

Experience with software applications, tracking systems, troubleshooting, software support or training.

Knowledge and ability to use word processing, database and spreadsheet programs.

Basic math skills.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. 

Excellent customer service skills with strong interpersonal and analytical skills.

Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.  

 

 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE

FBI fingerprint background check.
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bilingual - Spanish/English

FTE: 1.0 – 8 hours per day 
Work Calendar: 12 month  

 

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
